These days men, women, boys and girls from all backgrounds play Gaelic games and both Ladies Football and Camogie are experiencing particularly strong growth.
The Gaelic Football and Hurling Association of Australasia holds an annual Championships over four days in early October for teams representing the individual states of Australia.
