President and Sabina Higgins attended the Galway Races.
The Galway Races festival takes place over a seven-day period each summer, and is one of the longest of all the race meets in Ireland.
The President has been a regular visitor to the Ballybrit racecourse and is a long-standing supporter of horse racing. Last year, he attended horse races in Galway, Liscarroll and Kilbeggan.
