President Michael D. Higgins officially opened this year’s Fleadh Cheoil, taking place in Drogheda.
In his speech, the President paid tribute to the organisers of the Fleadh, and to all those who work to support communities, youth and our cultural heritage, including dancers, poets, musicians and gaeilgeoirs.
