President Higgins travelled to Belfast, to announce the appointment of Frank Ormsby as Ireland Professor of Poetry.
Mr. Ormsby is the eighth Ireland Professor of Poetry, taking over from the current holder, Eiléan Ni Chuilleanáin, whose term was announced by President Higgins in May 2016.
