President Higgins appointed Ms. Emily Logan as Police Ombudsman at a ceremony in Áras an Uachtaráin.
The Government nominated Emily Logan to be the new Police Ombudsman under legislation passed in 2024.
She was nominated for the role following an open competition undertaken by the Public Appointments Service.
