President Michael D. Higgins led the Arbour Hill Commemoration Ceremony.
An Taoiseach, Leo Varadkar T.D., and Minister with Responsibility for Defence, Paul Kehoe T.D. were also in attendance.
The President laid a wreath to commemorate those who died in 1916, and observed a minute silence.
