President Michael D. Higgins attended the funeral of Dr. Ian Adamson, former MLA and Lord Mayor of Belfast.
President Higgins and Dr. Adamson were close friends, working to advance cross-border relations on the island of Ireland and creating opportunities to celebrate Ulster’s rich cultural heritage.
