President Connolly delivered the 30th Annual Lawrence O'Shaughnessy Award for Poetry to Enda Wyley.

The award was established by the late Lawrence O'Shaughnessy in 1997, and is an annual prize granted by the Center for Irish Studies at the University of Saint Thomas, Minnesota, to honour Irish poets. Each year, an outstanding Irish poet receives the award in honour of their achievements and contribution to Irish poetry.
