President gives an address at the Opening Ceremony of the Special Olympics Ireland Games

Location: Tallaght Stadium, Dublin

The President will attend the opening ceremony of the Special Olympics Ireland Games.

The Games will take place place from 14-17 June, with 1,600 athletes competing.

In his speech, President Higgins paid tribute to the competitors and to all those that had been involved in the Special Olympics over the past 40 years.
