At the invitation of the President of the French Republic, Mr François Hollande, President Michael D. Higgins travelled to Paris to address the ‘Summit of Consciences for the Climate’ in July 2015.
The summit took place in preparation of France hosting a summit on climate change in December 2015.
During his visit, President Higgins also had a bilateral meeting with President Hollande in the Elysée Palace, followed by a State dinner.
