The President and Sabina Higgins decided to focus the 21 June 2016 Garden Party on the theme of yoga and well-being, in celebration of an ancient tradition that embodies unity of mind and body, thought and action.
The event highlighted the day designated by the United Nations as International Day of Yoga and was attended in the Áras by many members of the Yoga community across Ireland, and others interested in promoting yoga as a means of health and life fulfilment.
