President Higgins launched an exhibition of the works of Imogen Stuart followed by the presentation of the McAuley Medal to Fr. Peter McVerry.

Imogen Stuart is a German-Irish sculptor.  Her sculpture,“Pangur Bán”, is currently on loan to Áras an Uachtaráin from University College Dublin.

Fr. Peter McVerry founded The Peter McVerry Trust in 1983. The trust is a national housing and homeless charity committed to reducing homelessness and the harm caused by substance misuse and social disadvantage.
