President leads 1916 Annual Arbour Hill Commemoration Ceremony

The President and Sabina Higgins marked the occasion of the annual State Ceremony at Arbour Hill commemorating the Easter Rising, and the executed leaders of 1916.

Arbour Hill is the final resting place of the seven signatories of the Proclamation of the Republic, including Padraig Pearse and James Connolly, as well as other executed 1916 leaders.

President Higgins laid a wreath in remembrance and observed a minute silence
