President meets members of An Garda Síochána serving in Cyprus

President and Sabina Higgins visited the United Nations Police force in Cyprus (UNPOL).

The role of UNPOL is to maintain and restore law and order in the UN buffer zone on the island. and the force is comprised of 68 police officers from nine countries. President Higgins met with the 12 members of An Garda Síochána who are serving in Cyprus with UNPOL.
