President Michael D. Higgins opened Cloughjordan Community Amphitheatre on Friday 21 April.

The amphitheatre in Ireland’s first ecovillage is sculpted from the Tipperary landscape, and built by Cloughjordan Arts CLG, a not-for-profit company. It incorporates a commemorative inscription in honour of Thomas MacDonagh, a Cloughjordan native who was one of the signatories of the 1916 Proclamation.
