President Higgins performed the official opening of the new Discovery and Learning Centre at Dublin Zoo.
The Centre comprises a dedicated education hub in Dublin Zoo, made up of two classrooms, a small lecture theatre and a Discovery Centre, as well as an auditorium for lectures and conferences.
The event marked the second official visit by President Higgins to Dublin Zoo – In June 2015, the President opened the new sea lion enclosure.
