President Higgins received representatives from the Limerick Writers Centre, to discuss their publication on the centenary of the ‘Limerick Soviet’.
The book commemorates the brief existence in 1919 of the Limerick Soviet, a collective of lay-councillors who organised the population to run the affairs of the city independently from the State, before Irish independence.
