President Higgins welcomed Israeli Arab journalist and politician Aida Touma-Suleiman to Áras an Uachtaráin.
In 2015, Ms Touma-Suleiman became the fourth Arab Israeli woman to be elected member of the Knesset, Israel’s parliament. She also chairs the Knesset's Committee on the Status of Women and Gender Equality.
