President Higgins will receive Professor Terence Dooley on a courtesy call at Áras an Uachtaráin, who will present the President with a copy of his book 'Burning the Big House'.
Professor Terence Dooley, Director of the Centre for the Study of Historic Irish Houses and Estates (CSHIHE) at Maynooth University, has led a suite of new initiatives for the final phase of the Decade of Centenaries, to explore the burning of Irish Country Houses during the period 1920- 1923.
