President Higgins last met with The Premier of Western Australia Mark McGowan during his State Visit to Australia in 2017 where he addressed the Western Australian Parliament and had dinner with the Premier. Premier McGowan is visiting Europe to promote a new direct commercial flight by QANTAS between Perth and Rome.
