President Higgins welcomed Her Excellency Ms. Maia Sandu, President of the Republic of Moldova, to Áras an Uachtaráin on a courtesy call.
President Sandu is making several working visits outside of Moldova, where she will talk with the Moldovan diaspora.
Miss Sandu was sworn in as the President of the Republic of Moldova on December 24, 2020 following the second round of the Presidential elections. The Presidential term lasts four years and starts on the oath-taking day.
