President Higgins spoke with Gabriel Boric, President of Chile, via telephone.
The telephone call was a follow up to their conversation at the UN General Assembly last year.
In 2023, at the request of President Gabriel Boric, President Higgins contributed a video message – which the President has delivered in both the Spanish and English languages – which was played at an event attended by invited Heads of State in Santiago to mark the 50th anniversary of Chilean coup d’état.
