18/12/2017 NO REPRO FEE, MAXWELLS DUBLIN President visits Mosney Direct Provision Centre and presents Bronze Gaisce Awards Pic shows surrounded by the ten recipients at a special ceremony held in Mosney Camp to present the Bronze Gaisce Awards . President Michael D. Higgins presenting ten young people aged 18 and 25 from Mosney Direct Provision Centre with Bronze Gaisce Awards. This was the first time young people living in Direct Provision have been presented with a Gaisce Award. Through the achievement of a Bronze Gaisce Award, they experienced better fitness levels, improved community links, better understanding of Irish culture as well as the psychological benefits inherent in achieving a Gaisce Award – improved hope, happiness and positive thinking.
