President Higgins will visit The Cavan Centre in Ballyjamesduff.
The centre, established in 1977 by a group of youth and community workers from the north inner city of Dublin, provides residential development services to some 4,000 people per year, across all age groups.
The centre offers recreational stays to community groups, and respite stays for families in crisis or suffering from homelessness.
In his Presidency, President Higgins aims to promote a more inclusive society, where barriers experienced by many people are eliminated and the way institutions engage with citizens of all backgrounds are changed, to ensure people are included and empowered.
