President visits the Mendicity Institution on the occasion of its 200th anniversary

The President visited the Mendicity Institution in Dublin, which has been working for 200 years to support people experiencing homeless, isolation and marginalisation.

The Institution was originally set up, in 1818, for ‘the suppression of street begging in Dublin.’
