President attends an event for relatives of all those who took part in the events of 1916

As part of the programme of activities of the State commemorations for the 1916 Easter Rising, President Higgins addressed descendants of those who fought and died in the Rising.

In his speech, the President said that the ideals of the Proclamation can still inspire today.
