Dr William H. Smith, executive director of the National Center for Race Amity, presented President Higgins with the NCRA Race Amity Award.
The National Center for Race Amity (NCRA) was established in January 2010 to improve race relations in the United States. Inspired by the Baha’i concept of Unity, the organisation has been working to change the discourse on race relations and develop race amity programmes.
