President addresses Fórsa Conference on challenges in the workplace during Covid-19 time

President Higgins addressed the annual conference of the trade union Fórsa.

In light of Covid-19 related restrictions, the conference, bringing together representatives of the union’s 250 branches, took place online. The Fórsa trade union has over 80,000 members in the Republic of Ireland, representing workers in the public sector, the semi-state sector, voluntary organisations and private companies.

In his speech, the President reflected on the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the world of work.
