At the request of the Government and in accordance with Article 35.1 of the Constitution, President Higgins appointed Mr. Justice Michael MacGrath to the Court of Appeal.
In January 2018 Justice MacGrath was appointed as a Judge of the High Court. In August 2020 he was appointed to the Special Criminal Court.
