President attends performance commemorating the 700th anniversary of Dante's ‘Divine Comedy’.

At the invitation of the OPW and Italian Ambassador Paolo Serpi, President Higgins will visit an exhibition in Dublin Castle of lithographs by Liam Ó Broinn, whose works interpret ‘The Divine Comedy’ by Italian poet Dante Aligheiri. The exhibition, curated by Brian McAvera and hosted by the OPW, marks the 700th anniversary of the poet’s death.

President Higgins will also attend a performance of ‘Inferno’ by Berlin based musician Elliot Murphy, a piece of music he composed to commemorate the 700th anniversary of Dante’s ‘Divine Comedy’.
