President attends the awarding of "Autism-Friendly Award to Dublin City University"

President Higgins announced that DCU has become the first autism-friendly university in the world.

The designation by As I Am, the autism advocacy organisation. marks the conclusion of an 18- month research project which found that students with Autism in third level often experience greater levels of difficulty settling in and adapting to University life than do their peers.
