President receives families on the occasion of World Down Syndrome Day

Wednesday 21 March is World Down Syndrome Day. 

To mark the Day, President Higgins invited  a number of people with Down Syndrome, along with their families, to Áras an Uachtaráin. 
The President highlighted  the need for action to empower people with Down Syndrome to advocate for their rights and opportunities.
