Location: Queen's Sport, Queen’s University Belfast
{{ diary_page.title }}

President Connolly met children from four primary schools taking part in an inter-schools basketball event organised by PeacePlayers Northern Ireland at part of the 2026 4 Corners Festival.

The festival is a faith-based initiative delivered across venues in all four corners of the city, with events designed to encourage people to step beyond the physical and psychological “corners” of Belfast and encounter new perspectives, new ideas and new connections.

Founded in 2003, PeacePlayers Northern Ireland was created with the goal of using basketball as a tool for reconciliation and peace-building.
