President Higgins received Dr. Ian d'Alton and Dr. Ida Milne for a courtesy call at Áras an Uachtaráin.
They presented the President with a copy of their book 'Protestant and Irish, The Minority’s search for a place in independent Ireland'.
Ian d’Alton is a Visiting Research Fellow, Centre for Contemporary Irish History, Trinity College, Dublin. Ida Milne is a lecturer in European History, Carlow College.
