President Michael D. Higgins received H.E. Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic, at Áras an Uachtaráin.
President Macron made a one-day visit to Ireland, and was welcomed to the country by the President and his wife Sabina. Following the welcome ceremony, the two Heads of State had a bilateral meeting at Áras an Uachtaráin, followed by a meeting with a number of prominent writers and thinkers.
In the evening, President Higgins and Sabina hosted a working dinner in honour of the French President. (Details here)
